A federal grand jury probe of the firings of nine U.S. attorneys during the Bush administration is focusing on the role played by recently retired Sen.  Fossils from northeastern Colombia reveal the biggest snake ever discovered: a behemoth that stretched 42 to 45 feet long, reaching more than 2,500 pounds.

Oh boy, it looks like the Coleman legal team isn’t giving up on forgery.

Coleman attorney Joe Friedberg is going over rejected absentee ballot envelopes with Washington County elections official Kevin Corbid, and they came across a pair of ballots that came from a husband and wife, but all appeared to have all been signed by the same individual — apparently the husband signing his own name, and also forging his wife’s signature for her ballot.  http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2009/02/coleman-attorney-alleges-voter-committed-forgery—-and-wants-ballot-counted.php

UK judges acccuse U.S. of threat over torture case

LONDON, Feb 4 (Reuters) – Two senior British judges accused the United States on Wednesday of threatening to end intelligence cooperation with Britain if they published evidence about the alleged torture of a Guantanamo detainee.

Britons could face increased danger if the judges defied the U.S. authorities and released full details in the case of Binyam Mohamed, an Ethiopian-born British resident who is held in Guantanamo Bay, they said.
