According to a Saudi paper, one man has offered to pay $10 million for either the left or right shoe thrown at Bush. And it is being broadly reported that the fellow who threw his shoes at Bush has become a hero in the Muslim world.
I understand this. I applaud it.
The reality here is that George Bush is responsible for the deaths of perhaps a million people and the maiming, crippling, blinding, dismemberment of many many more.
The other man merely threw his shoes at Bush. A black eye might have resulted, perhaps a bruise.
A war criminal, almost certainly, versus another who was profoundly disgusted at the immorality of what the US, under Bush particularly, has done in the middle east and who made a public protest with potential harm to no one.
